Our mission is to raise awareness, on the need to adopt attitudes in accordance with sustainable tourism.

Romania Active's commitment to the practice of responsible tourism is inspired by the ethical code of the World Tourism Organization and responds to the recommendations made to the creators of holidays & trips. Our commitment stems from the fact that we are professionals who share a real passion for Romania. We want tourism to provide the country with a balanced development and allow it to present itself in its best light.

► The philosophy of Romania Active has been from the very start to encourage travelling as much as possible by non-motorized means and mostly off the beaten path, to try and avoid the mainstream and bring out the authenticity.

► We constantly highlight the need for recycling, the use of biodegradable or reusable objects (food boxes, water bottles, etc.) and local food supply in particular.

All our partners are Romanians who work independently for the development of their country, the type of circuit that we carry gives work on average to about fifteen local providers/region.

► We are committed to promoting and explaining the cultural and artisanal productions of the regions we visit. Furthermore, we only work with independent artisans & craftsmen whose respect for traditional know-how is wildly recognized. 

► All our trips are designed to encourage encounters with the local populations, (in particular through accommodation with locals and visiting traditional workshops).
