Europe Travel Guide

Prepare your trip in Romania
Our hikes always include the porterage of luggage and are made on reasonable distances (about4/5 hours walking a day). So it is not necessary to be an athlete to participate in our journeys. Furthermore we privilege the pleasure and the discovery to the strict sports performance.
Some advices are however imperative to avoid the inconveniences.
If you did not make any more physical efforts for a long time, before the departure, assure you that you can easily walk to a reasonable speed following one-two hours.
For the rest, you don't have to worry, the food will be good and plentiful and the accommodation assured in comfortable family houses. During the hike you will have to drink frequently, even before feeling thirsty (approximately every hour).
Small quantities of foods will also have to stay at your fingertips to prevent the glycemia falls. Before the departures, we propose substantial breakfasts, it will be necessary to take advantage of it without abusing. Watch the hydration (milk, water, fruit juice or coffee).
If you have good appetite, you can add eggs or ham. And as we are not fundamentalists of dietetics, the "bon vivants" can feel reassured; they will every evening be welcomed with local products and some local brandy for the connoisseurs.
A minimal equipment will naturally be planned for the hikes:
- a small volume rucksack (10/20 liters) to take the things which you will need during the day. It will be judicious to keep always in this rucksack a garment for the rain.
- You will also need quality walking shoes and if possible already run in.
- Walking socks to limit the appearance of blisters.
- To protect from sun, a hat, glasses, a solar cream with a strong protection factor.
- Optional, do not forget camera or even a pair of binoculars.
You have everything to make a successful hike!
